I’m here!

Wooooo! I’m in Miami!!

Everything went smoothly today! I hope this isnt a jinx for the rest of the trip! I slept great last night, woke up 5 minutes before my alarm went off, got up showered, got ready, took the garbage out, and even vacuumed the living room all by 8:30!

Got to Jess’ house right on time and made it to the airport w/o any issues. I was smart enough to drop my luggage at the sky cap because rolling 2 suitcases through the airport aint easy! For some reason the lines at security were huge! On a Tuesday morning wtf?!

The skies were clear leaving denver however there was some scary turbulence once we got up high, not fun! The lady next to me had a minor freak out lol. 2 hours into the flight, a 17 month old boy had a melt down. He’d just had enough at that point. Mom walked him up and down the aisle a few times but that didnt help.. an hour in to the SCREAMING someone finally shoved a lollipop in the kids mouth……… 2 minutes later he was asleep. Good God!!! I felt bad for the lady cuz she also had an infant but come ON do something for the rest of us!!

The brownish one is, as the pilot says, part of the land that has been involved in the recent Flooding. He said we were over Little Rock / Memphis area’s. I assume thats the Arkansas River? Plz correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve never seen it before… but it looked really big.

We even arrived 20 minutes early into Fort Lauderdale so that was pretty awesome. I got to my shared shuttle area and sat with a girl with pink suitcases.. she asked what I was in town for, I said a cruise… and she stared at me and said… the NK cruise?? i said omg yes you too!!???!! So awesome to find another block head so early on in the trip!

My hotel, well, its what you’d expect for a $50 a night hotel. Im just happy it has the necessities, bed, tv, bathroom etc. Ill take what I can get right now. It doesnt have an elevator so i had to carry my suitcases up 2 floors..the wireless internet was working well.. but then went down to 1 bar. So I called sprint and had them temporarily add the hot spot capability to my phone through wednesday, so i can use a decent connection through the ‘puter.

If I come back next year, im definitely sharing a hotel with someone, and staying closer to the beach!

I spoke with my cruise roomie and we decided to meet up and have dinner. I found a lil Cuban Cafe that was in the middle of both of our hotels. It was very yummy, and there was a cute kitty resident there as well, his left ear was tipped hopefully meaning he/she had been neutered/spayed, I shared some of my shredded beef with him and we both gave him some lovins.

My cabbie was super nice and even gave me his card so I could call him to pick me up from the cafe, which he did!

I dunno what I’m gonna do tomorrow, most of the other girls are coming in at some time or another tomorrow..my roomie is going on some tour of the city and its shopping areas, but i really dont need to be spending money on shopping!

I’m still on Denver time physically, its 9 there, 11 here, and im wide awake… what to do what to do….
