Comparisons

Went to Best Buy today to check out their cameras, esp. the one that’s going to be on sale for black friday…. however I didnt find the one from the Ad, it’s not IN the store yet… but I did fall in love with another camera, a more expensive camera..it only comes in black in the store, but newegg has it online in 3 different colors.

The good thing about this one, is that it’s available online, there’s no rush for it… and it’ll still be there after BF.

Meaning I don’t have to come up with $300 by next week. I could SAVE up a lil money and buy it before the cruise, enough time to test it out and get used to it. Who knows it may even go on sale.

While i was at the store i was visiting with GVR since he works there… and the first thing he said was ‘i have big news’ i was like oh? what’s that? To wish he says the girl from  DC… well uhh…. we kinda went somewhere (vegas) and got married. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!! This happened a week ago today and I’m just now being told?! He said its not something you just go around telling ppl… well um.. yeah actually it is!!! Esp. Your friends! Esp. Someone you sleep with occasionally!!!!! I kinda smacked him and told him he was retarded…but then gave him a congratulatory hug… He said she’s probably moving out here in March.. he told his ex wife and she was surprised because he’s not that spontaneous, and apparently his parents are pretty pissed… but they’ll get over it.  Either way, I’m happy for him, if that’s what makes HIM happy.

I talked to my grandma today and she said a card was in the mail for me, for thanksgiving I assume… hopefully including some moolah… so I’ll need to go check the mail later today… if not it should be here tomorrow.

I may make some snickerdoodles today, I was gonna make ’em yesterday but I did brownies instead. But they still sound scrumptious.

Photographers I need your help!

I’m in the market for a new camera. Mainly to take on the cruise, that wont result in blurry pictures if for some reason I’m far away from the guys and I need to shoot pics of them in performance.

Current Camera

This is what I have now, a Sony Cybershot 7.2mp I bought it a few years ago around Black Friday for my xmas present to myself…

I want something with HIGHER mp and better image stabilization. This camera has been great to me, but for concerts and cruises and far away things in motion it’s not perfect.

 

Possible Replacement

This is the upgraded model available: Sony Cybershot DSC-W220 12MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization

It’s only 1 step up in Optical Zoom, which from what I hear helps in the stabilization…

However everything I hear and results I have seen about DSLR’s is awesome.. however I’m not willing to shell out 800+ for a camera, thats way more than even my rent!

The Nikon touch screens are nice.. but I dont know about their quality as far as what i’m looking for. Canon’s always a nice brand, same as my printer LOL.. There’s just so many decisions! I’m lookin at the black friday ad’s that have been leaked and there’s a few options.. but none that really stand out quite yet…

I’d really prefer for it to be on the smallER side so that it’s easy to carry and fit in pockets or purses or a clutch.. I want to be able to KNOW i took a good shot w/o having to double check every time. I spend a LOT of my time at these functions checking the photos instead of enjoying it.. OH and it must record video as well.

I really wish I was more up on all the cameras.. I took photography & Digital photography in high school for 2 or 3 years.. I had a lot of fun, my grandpa was a huge photo buff.. lots of his stuff got published and picked up locally by organizations in Nevada. I really wish I had learned a lot more from him about regular film cameras when i had the chance..

I digress… If any of you out there have any suggestions please leave them for me! Trying to stay UNDER $400.
